Membership in any registry body, Canadian or American, is voluntary unless it is mandated by an employer or (where applicable) a provincial regulatory body.
To maintain Current CARDUP registry, members are required to pay the annual fees each year by May 1st and maintain the required number of continuing medical education credits.
If the dues have not been paid by June 1st they are considered in arrears and a $30.00 administrative late fee will be levied. A notice will be sent out to the registrant. If the renewal fee is not paid within 3 months, the registrant status becomes "Interim" and the renewal fee is doubled.
In the event that the fees are still not paid by November 1st the registrant will be removed from the registry and the full re-instatement criteria will apply.
If the required 30 CME credits have not been maintained by the end of the triennium the registrant will receive a notice. There will be a one month grace period to submit CME's without penalty. As of June 1st late CME's will be accepted with a $30.00 administration fee. In the event that by Nov 1st CME's are not submitted to the head office the registrant will be removed from the registry and the full re-instatement criteria will apply.
